A Video Gamers Digest
Video Games are a unique media that are enjoyed by people, both young and old worldwide. Adults, teens, and kids all play games to escape to a fantasy world, educate themselves, get up and dance or just socialize with friends.
My aim in creating Games News Network is to build a place where I could show others all the great games, media and news that come out of the industry. It's all about giving back to an industry that has given gamers so much.
News Byte: Deus Ex Coming Next Week
The original Deus Ex will be making its way to the PlayStation store on May 16, confirmed Square Enix today.
OMG. There are certain instances when E3 is happening that a great game is announced. This is that instance. BIOWARE just announced their next game and man is it beautiful. It's an open-world RPG much like, and I hate to make the comparison but, Destiny. Only thing is, it looks so accessible. I'll get the Xbox One X just so that I can play this game with friends and experience it at it's best.
There has been an ongoing debate as to the current state of the video game industry as it concerns single-player games and if it's dying out. Now, I can completely understand where this is coming from in light of recent trends where games have adopted more of a service model to get gamers to shell out more money over time. I have my own grievances with that but I won't go into that here. With that being said, I have to say that I don't believe that single-player games are on their way out.
Here's why. While more and more games are becoming multiplayer focused with the inclusion of certain services, take for instance Overwatch and more recently PUBG but let's not also forget Assasin's Creed Origins. We're seeing that games are coming with ways for publishers to get gamers to spend more than just the price of the game.
