Thoughts/Opinion: DmC: Devil May Cry (Demo)

When I first saw the reveal trailer for the Devil May Cry reboot I couldn't be more excited. After my time with Devil May Cry 4 I was left wondering when I'd see Dante again. In the upcoming DmC: Devil May Cry developed by Ninja Theory the studio decided to create a different origin story for Dante, making him younger and changing his look--to the dismay of many fans who have come to see Dante with his iconic white hair--now black.

I'll make this short. I'm fully behind Ninja Theory with this reboot. Dante may not look the same (not that it ever bothered me) but it feels like a Devil May Cry game. After playing the recently released demo a few dozen times I've come away with a few things.

The first, the game looks beautiful. Being pulled from a drab, lifeless real world to the world of Limbo is where the game really pops. Limbo feels like it has a life of it's own and really adds to the over-the-top flare that we've all come to love about Devil May Cry. The …

Updated: DmC Vergil's Dowfall Pre-order DLC

Well it seems that the DLC isn't an exclusive like I had originally thought. Those who pre-order from Gamestop will receive a code to redeem the DLC for free when it is released while others will have to pay 720MSP/$8.99 on the Xbox 360 and PS3 respectably.

Original Post: It seems like the twin we all love (or hate) will be receiving an exclusive piece of DLC as a pre-order bonus. Pre-ordering from Gamestop will not only net you the Samurai Weapon Pack but it will also give you access the Vergil's Downfall DLC. If you have no plans on getting it from Gamestop then expect to wait awhile before you can play it. The game is out January 15th.

Now remember I mentioned a demo for the game, well I found an article (I think on that stated it would drop on November 20th. Now there's no confirmation but keep an eye out, the 20th is a week away.

With this acquisition Disney is now targeting 2015 for a release of Star Wars: Episode 7, with a film to follow every two to three years.

X-Play & AOTS Cancelled by G4

This is a bit overdue on accord that mother nature has been having her way with the east cost over the last few weeks. Now onto the topic at hand.  Two weeks ago TV Guide reported that G4 is finalizing plans on a channel makeover, as a result two long-running series will stop production at the end of the year. X-Play and Attack of the Show will continue until December, however the shows leading up to the finales will feature guest co-hosts and there will be several farewell episode, as well as airing some of the shows favorite segments.
Attack of the Show and X-Play have been important for G4, and we want to acknowledge the creative people who have helped inspire and showcase the phenomenon of gamer culture," says G4 Media general manager Adam Stotsky. "With more than 3,000 episodes aired between them, we have more than enough great material to honor these innovators and their amazing contributions as we bring both shows to a close. It seems G4 is moving into a more upsc…
