Going by the OUYA project update I received recently, the video game console will be available in certain stores when it's launched this June. The stores include Amazon , Best Buy , GameStop and Target . The console itself goes for $99.99 with an extra controller costing you $49.99. You can pre-order OUYA from the retailer of your choice above. I'm really interested in seeing how this console fares with announcements imminent from both Microsoft and Sony regarding their new consoles.

OUYA Kickstarter Ends

When the OUYA kickstarter first launched I don't think anyone would have anticipated the amount of support it would receive and man did it receive a lot of support. The OUYA kickstarter capped off yesterday well above its initial goal of 950K and ended at a little above 8.5M with over 63, 000 backers. Additionally OUYA has partnered with Square Enix to put Final Fantasy III on the console. OUYA not only plans to upset the current video game market with its open sense of development but with a $99 price tag it comes out swinging. With the purchase of a unit you get the controller that has been designed by Yves Behar, who has also worked on Jambox and the $100 Laptop, and the console itself. Under the hood the OUYA  specs (see below) look very similar to mobile device currently on the market. But don't let that foul you, Juli...
