A Video Gamers Digest
Video Games are a unique media that are enjoyed by people, both young and old worldwide. Adults, teens, and kids all play games to escape to a fantasy world, educate themselves, get up and dance or just socialize with friends.
My aim in creating Games News Network is to build a place where I could show others all the great games, media and news that come out of the industry. It's all about giving back to an industry that has given gamers so much.
If the Doom Eternal gameplay demo didn't get you excited enough then here's more from Rage 2, that should get you going. It's more of the same that we've seen before but damn is it good. Rage 2 is adding so much more this time around, from more indebt vehicle combat to far more to do with the Wingstick. Another title I can't wait for.

Oh, my... On my way to hang out with some friends yesterday, I saw this pop up on my Youtube feed. Little did I realize at the time that Quakecon 2018 was underway. I kick myself for not being aware.
With that being said, Id Software demoed a seven-minute, pure action, pure heart racing, edge of your seat gameplay demo for their upcoming Doom Eternal. In this demo, they show off new weapons, new mods for your weapons, new ways of traversal and new enemy types. There's even an arm-mounted retractable blade and what seems to be a should cannon that doubles as both a flamethrower and rocket launcher.
There's no set release date for Doom Eternal but from what I see in this gameplay demo, I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Destiny 2 was released back in September of last year and since then has received a lot of criticism from fans for things they've done since release. Destiny 2: Forsaken, set to be released in under a month on September 4th is poised to change the game for the better.
To give players a taste of what's to come, Bungie did a livestream and here it is.

And here it is. The gameplay reveal for Rockstar Games Red Dead Redemption II. This game looks beautiful to say the least. The way they allow you to interact with the world is beyond impressive. From talking to your teammates to a passerby, you can do so much and hunting animals for money or loot...just wow.
This is just the first part, aptly title An Introduction, with more to come. What did you think of what Rockstar Games is doing and what what you saw?

All of these games are currently available and will be so for the remainder of the month through early September.
Rockstar Games has announced that the official gameplay video of their upcoming, highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption II will drop tomorrow, Thursday, August 9th at 11AM EST (oh what joy 😃). With Red Dead Redemption II set for release on October 26th, it's nice to finally get a look at the gameplay for this game. Knowing Rockstar, expect some interesting gameplay. Check back here tomorrow where I'll have the video posted and my take on everything in it.
Tekken is one of the best and longest running fighting franchises out there. With Tekken 7 being out for more than two years now fans are still receiving more from the developer. Talk about fan service. This time around it's the announcement of additional characters coming to the game including Anna Williams and Lei Wulong (one of my favs from past games). That's not all however, there will also be a Walking Dead character crossing over. That character is none other than Negan. He marks one of six new characters coming to the game for Season Pass 2.
Stay tuned to Games News Network as more characters are announced. What do you think of the characters announced so far and who else do you think will be added?
With August well underway, it's time for another month of free games for both the Xbox One and PlayStation Plus Stores (more on that in a subsequent post). This month the Xbox Games with Gold line-up is pretty good.
For the month of August from August 1st to August 31st gamers will have instant access to Forza Horizon 2. Forza is an open-world racing game that continues the long line of Forza games, being the seventh in the series. This runs along with Death Squared that will wrap its time mid-August.

On the Xbox 360 backward compatibility front, we start the month out with Dead Space 3 which will be available from August 1st through the 15th. Dead Space 3 is a co-op survival horror game and wraps up the Dead Space series as Isaac Clarke trie…
Insomniac's Marvel Spider-Man, due out in September, had a great showing at E3 a few days ago. I've watched every gameplay video that I could find from the time and I have to say that I can't get enough of this game and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I literally sent a tweet to Insomniac begging for them to release a demo. PLEASE. Feed my need to play this awesome game.
Everything about this game makes me want to play it so bad. From the web-swinging to the combat, it all looks so great. So wonderful. So much like Spider-Man and I can't wait to be him in this game. More importantly, I want, much like all the other Spidey fans out there I'm sure, I want to see how this game's story unfolds. The Sony Press Conference gameplay trailer ended on such a cliffhanger that it has sparked so many fan theories. Who's the mastermind behind it all? I have my own theories and I want to see what happens next.
Let's talk about web-swinging first. It looks fluid,…
Last year Sony blew me away with their conference. The number of games they had to show us, many of which I've played over the last year and that I'm still playing to this day, became hits and best sellers.
Tonight I hope for more of the same. Sony kicked off their conference with a musical interlude and then goes right into Last of Us 2. It opens with brilliant cinematic and transitions seamlessly into gameplay. I have friends who don't even own a PS4 talking about just this intro beat out anything Microsoft showed off the day before. That speaks volumes to me. Last of Us 2 looks and plays like a marvel.
After a brief intermission, which wasn't that brief as I sat at the edge of my seat patiently waiting for it to return. Sony came back with Ghost of Tsushima which had a mix of stealth and combat gameplay. They showed off a new game called Control and then stunned everyone with the reveal of Resident Evil 2 Remastered.
OMG, Kingdom Heart III in Pirates of the Caribbean. …
I have to say that I went into this Microsoft E3 Press Conference with little expectations. As I watch the conference and write this at the same time they did not disappoint. Or rather, they didn't impress. They hit the same beats they always do, sticking to their well-establish franchises and not venturing out and showing anything new. The conference opens with a Halo: Infinite tease and then goes into games that we all know are coming. Crackdown 3, We Happy Few, Forza, Gears; you get the idea. They showed off a new trailer for Fallout 76 and a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III (LOVED IT) and a few other upcoming titles but nothing really NEW. We got a Division 2 trailer and gameplay reveal. It looks great but we all remember what happened when The Division first debuted at E3 and the final game we got when it was released. We also got an announcement and trailer for Gears 5. Can't say that I didn't see that one coming but I did.
