If you're craving a bullet dodging, pain killer good time then you should be happy with the return of Max Payne. Is Max playing with a full clip or is he running on empty. Lets take a look at what the critics have to say: MetaCritic:   87/100 GamesRadar:   10/10 Max Payne 3 marks an exceptional comeback for the series. The plot wraps the neo-noir storytelling around a bright and exotic locale while peppering the action with enough backstory to stave off boredom. While prior games were certainly dark tales, the stories of addiction, double and triple crosses, as well as some grim surprises ripped straight from urban legends. It maintains the mechanics that made the prior games great while modernizing them to excellent effect. Between the arcade mode and multiplayer, there’s enough substantive content to keep you hooked for some time. Max Payne III Single-Player Modes

Rockstar has announced the details behind the additional single-player modes that will be unlocked when you complete the game's campaign.  These Arcade modes include Score Attack and New York Minute. In Score Attack you accumulate points for accurately hitting your targets and killing enemies. The higher your score the more XP and extra awards you receive that goes toward multiplayer such as characters. New York Minute, which is brought back from Max Payne & Max Payne 2, gives you one minute to unleash as much havoc as you can; gaining more time with kills. Max Payne III will be released tomorrow, May 15th.

Max Payne 3 Soundtrack Details

The Official Soundtrack for Max Payne 3 will be digitally available on May 23 announced RockStar today. The soundtrack features music from LA based band HEALTH. TEARS, the first song on the album, will be released on May 15 to coincide with the games launch. Included in the soundtrack is an exclusive track from Emicida--a Sao-Paulo based Hip-hop artist. Max Payne 3 DLC Plans Revealed

Today RockStar announced its downloadable content plan for Max Payne 3. The content starts this summer/June with the Local Justice Map Pack which will include new maps to be used across the various modes, new multiplayer avatar items, challenges, and more. Those looking to get their hands on each piece of DLC can pre-order the Max payne 3 Rockstar Pass , netting you all future DLC. The Pass is up for pre-order now on PSN and can be bought at Bestbuy and Gamestop. The pass will cost 2400 MS on XBL, or $29.99 on the PSN and PC. Delays...Oh How They Burn.

In 2011, gamers had a year filled with games that missed there original release date. Although the year turned out to be a great one, waiting for a game to be released just to have it pushed back can be heart-wrenching. Gears of War 3 was delay almost five months and Mass Effect 3 was pushed into another year. It is now 2012, the year has just started and already games are seeing their original release date altered. Most recently Saber Interactive's Inversion was move from its February 7 release date to March 27 and while Max Payne 3 was originally scheduled for a March release, Take-Two has decided to move the game to a May release window.
