Insomia Games has done something absolutely spectacular with Marvel's Spider-Man 2. I've just completed my story playthrough; finishing most of the side content along the way and it was a ride from start to finish. I'm going to try to avoid SPOILERS as much as possible but do forgive me if I do. By now you've seen the opening set piece for Spider-Man 2 but if you haven't its one hell of an opening. They go big. Insomnia comes out swinging and from there it keeps going up in scale and excitement. It's your classic Spider-Man story with some very familiar villains, some wonderful sequences and some very fun setups for what's to come with an Insomnia twist. I'll forgo talking about the story so we don't spoil anyone so I'll jump into my takeaways from Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The Future of Gaming is quickly approaching. Microsoft and Sony have dialed up their marketing for their next generation of consoles which are both expected for Christmas this year. With our various gaming conventions being cancelled earlier this year, gamers have been left without early previews to upcoming games and consoles. To help with that Sony has announced an event to showcase the upcoming PS5. It will air on 11 at 1 PM PDT. This event was schedule for last week but had to be rescheduled due to everything going on in the world. I don't know about you but I'm excited to see what they have to show. August has come and Sony has several interesting free games lined up for its PLUS members. Coming this month on the PlayStation 4 are Mafia III. An open-world game set in the fictional city of New  Bourdeaux where you play as Lincoln Clay who seeks revenge against the Italian mob. Then there's Dead by Daylight,  an  asymmetric   survival horror   online multiplayer  video game where one player takes on the role of the killer and the others the survivors. On the PlayStation 3 front is Bound by Flame . It's an action role-playing game that puts you in the role of a hero possessed by a demon. Up next is Serious Sam 3: BFE a first-person shooter where you battle against hordes of enemies.
