Red Dead Redemption 2: Official Gameplay Trailer - Part II

Image
Oh Rockstar, you know just how to get me so vested in one of your games without me having ever played the game. That's the case here in the latest gameplay video that shows everything you can do in the game; all the places you can go to; how you can customize your character and so much more. The fact that they mentioned that even taking a bath is a choice you can make is both refreshing and interesting. To see sure a minor thing one would not think about in a game being an actual aspect that can affect how people interact with you, it's marvelous.  There's just so much in this one trailer you have to watch it for yourself at least a few times. I have.  I know what I'll be playing for the rest of the year. ==== Courtesy of Games News Network

Anthem: Story Trailer

One thing you can more than expect from a BioWare game is a gripping story. One that is both memorable and really makes the player experience a range of emotions. That same can be expected from Anthem , their upcoming game. This Story trailer talks about all the people you'll meet during the course of your game and how interacting with them can change your story. Your choices have consequences. This is how you make the game yours. Anthem is set to be released early next year and if you're like me, you can't wait to play it either. ==== Courtesy of Games News Network

All I can say is that it looks breathtaking and not just the visuals but the new enemies, mechanics, and as well combat. EA Press Conference Impressions

Image
Electronic Arts just wrapped its E3 Conference and with ten developer and ten games showcased--EA manages to impress. Crysis gameplay, Battlefield 3-Premium, Dead Space 3 co-op gameplay reveal and UFC joins EA are just a few highlights of the show. Check out the E3 2012 for videos from the show and the entire conference. I'm somewhat skeptical at how immersive the experience will be in Dead Space 3 with a co-op character/partner there dropping random lines when you're trying to be scared. However it does look like Visceral is really taking it to the next level. Crysis 3 looks amazing, but that's to be expected from the Crytek team and the CryEngine.

SSX and Reckoning Get Online Pass

Image
For those of you who are unaware, an Online Pass is a way for game companies to manage the rights of their games that have online functionality. This pass usually comes packaged with a new game and allows the gamer access to online features and bonus content. The brilliant minds at Electronic Arts have decided to put online passes into two of their upcoming games, SSX and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The latter, a single-player game, includes an online pass that grants you access to the an additional quest line giving gamers all the more reason to buy it new. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning drops Feb 7 and SSX Feb 28. What these passes boil down too is a way for the company to reduce the sale of used games while still being able to make a profit if it is bought used. Do you think more companies will begin to adapt this business model? And what do you think of online passes in general? [via Destructoid ]
