A Plethora of Kingdom Hearts Information

Image
It's been a while since we received any info on upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3 (which is still in development) but today the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter page dropped loads of new details. Well not details, more like some shots from the game. The two stills from the game not only confirms that Drive Forms from Kingdom Hearts 2 will be back in Kingdom Hearts 3 but also shows a new form. The above picture shows off the Guard Form in what looks like Olympus Coliseum. Below is the Power Form and according to the tweet the picture was edited so that it wouldn't show a new world. This is exciting, Drive Forms were one of the best elements from Kingdom Hearts 2 I can wait to see what else they do.  They also announced that Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 and II.5 will be released next year on one disk for the PlayStation 4 in March. Finally they dropped a new trailer for the Final Chapter Prologue. It's been a great day for Kingdom Hearts and being a big fa

Bethesda & Game Reviews

Image
Bethesda, the studio behind well known games like Skyrim, Doom and the upcoming Dishonored 2 have gone on record and said that they will no longer be providing advanced review copies of their games to media outlets. They essentially said this:  "we want everyone, including those in the media, to experience our games at the same time." You can read what they had to say in it's entirety here . Honestly I see no problem with this. Often times reviews can make or break a game as some gamers hang on the words of those reviewing it. While there are those who don't. I know I guilty on both fronts and in the end it falls to your preference. --- Courtesy of Games News Network

What I'm Playing this Week

Image
With several games coming in the coming weeks I have a lot of catching up to do. With that being said what I'm playing this week is a mixed bag. Dishonored : With Dishonored 2 out next month I needed to revised Dishonored to get a feel for the game and to complete the story. I managed to finish a high chaos run recently so I need to jump back in one more time for a low chaos run. Titanfall 2 : I never played Titanfall. Why? Because it didn't have a single player campaign. I'm not all too keep on games that only offer a multiplayer experience. So with Titanfall 2 having a story campaign, I'll invest time in it this coming weekend.  Batman : The 3rd episode of Telltales Batman is out and continues the story of the Dark Knight as he once again tries to protect Gotham from harm. I tried this last night but there was an issue with the season pass but will definitely jump behind this once it's fixed. World of Final Fantasy : I got this one to scratch my

PlayStation Network Down World Wide

Image
It would seem that the PlayStation Network is experience a bit of technical difficulties and has gone down worldwide. There's no apparent reason behind the outage and this has upset many of PS gamers who are trying to play their games. Sony isn't a stranger to outages but based on what I've seen it's an all too frequent occurrence. Sony is investigating this current outage so here's hoping the PlayStation Network goes back up soon. --- Courtesy of Games News Network

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Install Size

Image
With the next installment of Call of Duty a few weeks out it comes a no surprise that we'd find out what the install size is for the game. Brace yourselves, it's a whopping 130GB. That includes both Infinite Warfare and the Remastered Modern Warfare. This will eat up literally two games worth of space. Space that is hard to come by when you already have tons of games installed and now have to pick and choose which ones you want to uninstall from your hard drive. Good thing I went and bought a new external hard drive. Not specifically for this but just for all the other games I will be playing in the next few months. --- Courtesy of Games News Network

Batman - The Telltale Series Episode 3 Trailer

Image
I really wasn't expecting another episode of the Telltale Batman series to be released so soon. Feels like it's only been a few short weeks since my choices, and so many others, created the villain who will become Two Face. Well, I'm not going to complain. I'll don cape and cowl and jump right back into it as I try to protect Gotham. Going by this trailer for the upcoming Episode 3: New World Order, it would seem that things are getting a bit hot in Gotham for both Batman and Bruce. --- Courtesy of Games News Network

Nintendo Switch Announcement

Image
Yesterday Nintendo did something pretty cool. It officially announced its new console and no it wasn't the Nintendo NX as it was called. Instead we got a trailer of the Nintendo Switch, a console, for lack of a better word, seems so genius. It captures both the console and handheld market, much like the Wii U did but better. One thing that immediately caught my attention from the first look video was how seamless the transition was from using the Switch as a console to a handheld device. Just put the two joystick controllers onto the mounted screen and go. Another thing was Skyrim running on the console which opens a lot of possibilities for the platform. More third-party supported games? One thing I did notice is that we're going back to cartridges, which I'm not sure how I feel. Outside of being a unique design, wouldn't expect anything less from Nintendo, there are of course concerns. The battery, the amount of power the console will generate (with both Sony

Pokemon Sun & Moon Special Demo Version Kick-off Video

Image
Update: So I got this wrong. It wasn't that they'd be doing a demo of the game on their channel or anything it would seem that they were releasing a demo for gamers to play. Sorry about that misunderstanding. --- Nintendo is giving Pokemon fans a rare threat. Today, October 18 at 7 AM Pacific time, Nintendo will be giving a demo of Pokemon Sun & Moon. According to the video the demo takes place outside of the games main story but hopes to reveal a lot about the game including new Pokemon, features and such.  Head back here later for said video which I'll link in this post. --- Courtesy of Games News Network

Rockstar tease new Red Dead

Image
So this happened over the weekend. Rockstar Games dropped an updated logo which looks all too similar to one of there most loved franchises, Red Dead. Their most recently entry, Red Dead Redemption has received such acclaim that fans have been asking for a new game in the series. Is this a sign from Rockstar saying that a new game is imminent. What's made this a bit more exciting and basically points to exactly that is the new image they dropped earlier this morning. Now if that doesn't scream new Red Dead game I don't know what will. As you can see in the image we have seven silhouettes. Is Rockstar trying to do the Magnificent Seven? Hmm. All we can do now is wait for Rockstar to raise the curtains on whatever they have planned. --- Courtesy of Games News Network

Final Fantasy XV - Death Caster Spell Trailer

Image
Final Fantasy is known for their powerful spells among other things. Death is one such spell. This iteration of the powerful one-hit KO spell, when it hits, does it abit different. From the trailer you can see Noctis equip the Ring of the Lucil. I'm not sure if this is same ring from the KingsGlaive movie but it seems to be going by the items description. This Death Spell literally sucks the life out of enemies until the die in a puff of smoke. The drawback to this spell, is that it leaves you completely open to attack and takes some time to cast. I completely understand for limitations on such a powerful spell and can't wait to get my hands of this game. November cannot come soon enough. --- Courtesy of Games News Network
