EA Press Conference Impressions

Electronic Arts just wrapped its E3 Conference and with ten developer and ten games showcased--EA manages to impress. Crysis gameplay, Battlefield 3-Premium, Dead Space 3 co-op gameplay reveal and UFC joins EA are just a few highlights of the show. Check out the E3 2012 for videos from the show and the entire conference.


I'm somewhat skeptical at how immersive the experience will be in Dead Space 3 with a co-op character/partner there dropping random lines when you're trying to be scared. However it does look like Visceral is really taking it to the next level. Crysis 3 looks amazing, but that's to be expected from the Crytek team and the CryEngine.

As a consumer society we like, need and want different things and with a variety of options getting them can easily be achieved. When you apply this to the video game industry you get games in the various versions, from Regular to Limited Editions, to Collector’s and Deluxe Editions. In addition to these editions, retailers often take it upon themselves to offer pre-order incentives. Pre-Ordering will give you access to a specific item, weapon or accessory, a discount or some other incentive that is unique to the store to get customer to buy from that retailer. In 2011 we saw several games receive the incentives treatment and a few that received retailer specific incentives. Its now 2012 and retailers are back at it again. Mass Effect 3 and Prototype 2 have both been given retailer specific incentive months before their launch and you can guarantee a lot more will follow. Mass Effect 3: Operation RESURGENCE

The next operation for Mass Effect 3 is about to begin. BioWare recently released the Resurgence Multiplayer which includes several new classes, weapons and maps. To go with this release this weekend's event will be codename RESURGENCE. All participating squads in this event will earn +10% experience when playing on the new Firebase maps: Hydra and Condor. In addition if you play this weekend you'll be rewarded with a Reserves Pack which contains one of the new class characters. This operation is only for XBOX360 and PC user and will run from Friday, April 13th at 5PM PST and ends Monday, April 16th at 5AM PST.
