Microsoft & 343 Delay Halo Infinite

Image
In a move that I didn't see coming at all, Microsoft and 343 Industries have decided to delay the release of Halo Infinite into 2021. Halo Infinite was slated to be one of the titles available within the launch window of the Xbox Series X and marks new direction for the Halo Series. Studio head Chris Lee sites development challenges including the current COVID pandemic among other factors. What does this mean for Microsoft and 343 Industries? Well I'd say it's not a good thing. Looking at the current list of games for the Series X launch window there's no killer game, no system seller--so to speak. Halo Infinite was supposed to be just that, but with that now being pushed to 2021 Microsoft may have just shot themselves in the foot. That's just my opinion; I don't see Microsoft moving consoles without a game that will really pull gamers in. They've been pushing Game Pass hard but is that enough to have gamers go after the Xbox Series X? Only time will tell....

Ubisoft Forward: Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Gameplay Overview Trailer

Image
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the next installment of the Assassin's Creed franchise and it looks like it will add more to this iteration. Combat is evolving, you get to establish and build a settlement and fully customize your character, male or female. It even goes back to earlier AC titles by bringing back some of the stealth options. I'm still playing the previous Assassin Creed titles and I'm looking forward to venturing into the Viking realm with this new game. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is set to be released on November 17th. Ubisoft Forward: Far Cry 6 - World Premiere Trailer

Image
Far Cry 6 was leaked a few days ago but here we have the world premiere of the new game which starts Breaking Bad actor  Giancarlo Esposito. He plays Anton Castillo and this is one hell of an introduction for the character. He's both menacing and a wee-bit crazy. You can look forward to this game releasing in early 2021 and staying tuned for more details to follow. Courtesy of Games News Network ---- Video thanks to Ubisoft

Ubisoft Forward: Hyper Scape Cinematic Trailer

Image
The minute I saw this game I got Brink vibs but this is something completely different and looks fun. Hyper Scape falls in with the other first-person Battle Royale games that have hit the market recently but this one has a Twitch component that sets it apart from other games. This will allow people to chose effects that will alter the game. You can join the Hyper Scape Open Beta HERE . Courtesy of Games News Network ---- Video thanks to Ubisoft

Ubisoft Foward: Watchdog Legion - Gameplay Overview Trailer

Image
I have to say, the more I see of Watchdogs Legion, the more I can't wait to get my hands on it. Watchdogs Legion is shaping up to be quite the ambitious game. This trailer shows us some more of the characters we can recruit and play as: from the run-of-the-mil to a professional. We even get a glimpse of this games "bad-guy". Watchdogs Legion is set to be release this October 12th. What I really like is the player choice in this game. We can recruit based on our play-style. Rant - CypberPunk 2077 Limited Edition Xbox One X

Image
CyberPunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of the year. It was slated to be released earlier but was pushed to September. With that being said an Xbox One X Limited Edition Console was announced soon after and MY GOD is it beautiful. That was scheduled to be release in June. There was no set date for the release but when they created an Xbox page for it, I was there. Everyday. Refreshing. I DID NOT want to miss this console. No way was I was going to let this console pass me by. When June finally hit I was there refreshing like a madman just to make sure I didn't miss it. Now here's where this story goes south. One day last week I woke up, signed into work since I've been working remotely, as most others have, and totally spaced on refreshing. When I did, around 11am that morning--they were gone. My jaw hit the floor. Not only did the console get released [with what feels like no warning-although that's probably my fault for not doing enough research] but it wa...

PS5 - The Future of Gaming

Image
The Future of Gaming is quickly approaching. Microsoft and Sony have dialed up their marketing for their next generation of consoles which are both expected for Christmas this year. With our various gaming conventions being cancelled earlier this year, gamers have been left without early previews to upcoming games and consoles. To help with that Sony has announced an event to showcase the upcoming PS5. It will air on 11 at 1 PM PDT. This event was schedule for last week but had to be rescheduled due to everything going on in the world. I don't know about you but I'm excited to see what they have to show. You can check out he official PlayStation blog HERE . Courtesy of Games News Network --- vid thanks to PlayStation

CyberPunk 2077 DELAYED!!!

Image
The year 2020 was set to be a phenomenal year for video games; and don't get me wrong, it still is. However, a lot of the games that were coming out early in the year have since been DELAYED. The Final Fantasy VII Remake, Doom Eternal and now the wildly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red, creators of the acclaimed Witcher series has also been delayed.  How long is this delay you ask? Well the game was set to be out in April but now it's slated for September. That is an unbelievably long time to wait for a game that's been on everyone wanted list. Sigh.  CD Projekt Red confirmed the delay via a message on their twitter page and the later in an official post. Sad to see this happen to a game I was literally planning on making my life for the next few years. ==== Courtesy of Games News Network

Borderlands 3 Gameplay Reveal Trailer

Image
It's been a long time in the making. Borderlands 2 came out years ago (in 2012) so did all the spin-off games. Borderlands 3 is set to be released later this year and see's four new vault hunters taking on a new villain--villains I should say. New mechanics, new worlds and your very own ship. What Borderlands has always been known for are the insane amount of guns. This time Gearbox is doing something different, guns now have an alternative fire mode which gives you lots of options. I... can't... wait. As one of the pioneers of the looter shooter genre, Borderlands has been one of my favorite games to play. I love everything about the world and the characters. Now that we're about to open the game to not just Pandora, I'm eager to see where the game takes me. === Courtesy of Games News Network Video by Youtube [Gamespot]

Devil May Cry V: Game Awards Trailer

Image
Devil May Cry V was announced not too long ago and see's the return of Nero and the demon-slayer himself Dante. There's also a new player on the scene and his moves are so different from what everyone has come to expect from a Devil May Cry game. His name is V and I'm not sure his role in all of this but I can't wait to see and play as this new character.  This trailer dropped at the game awards and with it the demo. Now I've played the demo and I have to say it's wonderful. Absolutely Wonderful. It feels so fresh and I can't wait to play the full game. ==== Courtesy of Games News Network Video courtesy of Youtube

Kingdom Hearts III Has Gone GOLD!!!

Image
Kingdom Hearts III has gone GOLD. To say that sounds like something so long in the making; to be able to finally say it feels surreal. We have just a little over two months to catch up on the previous games (should you so choose) but I know I'll be doing that. I can't believe it's finally about to happen. I'll get to continue and finish Sora's journey I began so long ago (T.T). ==== Courtesy of Games News Network Vid by IGN Youtube

Red Dead Redemption 2 File Size Is What Now?

Image
It's over 105GB. You heard that right, 105GB. That is an absurd amount but that it is. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a massive open world game that lets you do probably anything you can think of if we're going by the latest gameplay trailer ( TRAILER ). Rockstar has been known for creating such an immersive experience that this should come as no surprise. Just look at GTA V. That game is massive and they've just built upon that formula.  Red Dead Redemption is a few short weeks away from being released on October 26th. I know what I'll be playing that weekend and I'm all set to enjoy this massive game. ==== Courtesy of Games News Network

Red Dead Redemption 2: Official Gameplay Trailer - Part II

Image
Oh Rockstar, you know just how to get me so vested in one of your games without me having ever played the game. That's the case here in the latest gameplay video that shows everything you can do in the game; all the places you can go to; how you can customize your character and so much more. The fact that they mentioned that even taking a bath is a choice you can make is both refreshing and interesting. To see sure a minor thing one would not think about in a game being an actual aspect that can affect how people interact with you, it's marvelous.  There's just so much in this one trailer you have to watch it for yourself at least a few times. I have.  I know what I'll be playing for the rest of the year. ==== Courtesy of Games News Network

Anthem Hits Alpha Milestone...

Image
Anthem is set to be released on February 22, 2019, and it has officially hit Alpha. What that means is that all the parts of the game are in and it can be played from beginning to end. BioWare's Casey Hudson tells us as much in an article on the BioWare blog. Check out what he has to say HERE . This is just wonderful. I can't wait to get my hands on this game as I'm sure everyone else is. From the gameplay we've seen so far this game is going to be beyond exciting. ==== Courtesy of Games News Network

Sony Brings Crossplay to the PlayStation 4

Image
Crossplay has been one of the most player-requested features for this generation of gamers, for as long as I can remember. I mean who wouldn't want to play with their best buddy on another platform like the Xbox One or the Switch--think of the possibilities. Well as of September 26th Sony has made the first step toward making that possible. The only catch is, it's only set up for Fortnite.  Fortnite players on PS4 can now play with gamers on Xbox One, Switch, Android, iOS, Windows and Mac computers. In the PlayStation blog that announced this, John Kodera said this: We see the beta as an opportunity to conduct thorough testing that ensures cross-platform play is best on PlayStation, while being mindful about the user experience from both a technical and social perspective. Granted this is only for Fortnite and it's only in BETA, this is a great first step to getting crossplay with more games down the road.  Personally, I think this is great. I have friend...
