It has been one year since I started Games News Network and boy has it been a crazy ride. The last year was filled with so much video game news, controversy, releases and much more that it was an overload at times. However, we made it through it all. Now the new year has started and we can expect more of the same. With next-gen consoles looming over the horizon for Microsoft and Sony and no official announcements made for this year it will be interesting to see how they handle the reveal; I'm thinking E3. On the games front there is a lot on the way. January is set to kick off the new year with games like DmC: Devil May Cry and Anarchy Reigns with Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Rising: Revengence, Bioshock Infinite and many more to follow in coming months. You can expect Games News Network to be on top of all the news that comes out of 2013. Expect a few changes as the months go by as I bring you my take on all the industry buzz. Aliens Colonial Marines is set to release February 12, 2013. I don't know about you but being a big fan of all things Alien I can't wait to get my hands on this game.

Yesterday I posted a Story So Far video for Dead Space 3. Today I'm reporting that a demo for the game is scheduled to drop at the end of January. To be exact, the demo will drop on January 22nd. Those looking to get the demo a week earlier, on January 15th, can head over HERE  and try their luck for an early access code. Dead Space 3 will be released on February 5th in the US and the 8th in the UK.

Dead Space 3 is set to take Issac Clarke to a new world to face more necromorphs than he can shake a Plasma Cutter at. Before you step into his shoes take a look at how it all started and a glimpse at what's to come.

We heard some time ago that Square wasn't finished telling Lightning's story and a new game based on the protagonist would be coming. Well take a look at the first trailer for the upcoming game.

Aptly titled Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, this new piece of DLC revolves around our half man half robot scholar Sir Hammerlock. You can expect new weapons, new locations, enemies and it seems Handsome Jack has a cult following. Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt drops January 15th.

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are giving you a look at how Lara must use her wits to survive after being shipwrecked. This episode goes into the tools and the upgrade system that you will be using when Tomb Raider drops next March.

It has been announced that a Hitman HD Collection will be released next year. The collection will feature Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money. If you've ever wanted to get into the series or if you're a fan then here's you chance.

About two weeks ago Irrational Games revealed the box art for the upcoming Bioshock Infinite. This reveal didn't go over too well, with a lot of people disliking the box art. This week Ken Levine and Irrational Games are giving gamers the option to choose an alternate cover for the game; turning the original into a reversible cover (a la Mass Effect 3). Head over HERE to cast you vote for said alternate cover. Personally I like Designs #2, #4 and #6 but that's just me. What say you, what's your pick for the alternate box art?

Last week Irrational Games released the new box art for Bioshock Infinite coming next year. The box art shows main character Booker DeWitt looking all bad-ass, shotgun in hand and the flag burning in the background. It's impressive many would say. I however don't really fancy it. The lack of Elizabeth on the cover next to DeWitt or anywhere (on the front) doesn't do it for me. Yes you'll be playing as Booker but Elizabeth is also a key part of the game, it would have been nice to see her upfront and center. But that's just me, others think it's OK while others share a similar opinion to mine.  Elizabeth is however on the back of the box but that's the back of the box. Seriously, how often do you look at the back of a game box after you've purchased it. Most likely you only do the initial glance the moment you get it in your hands and then never look back there again.

It looks like we're about to retake Omega and I bet Aria couldn't be more happy. The latest piece of DLC for Mass Effect 3, releasing tomorrow, will see Shepard and the crew team up with Aria as they return to reclaim Omega.

When I first saw the reveal trailer for the Devil May Cry reboot I couldn't be more excited. After my time with Devil May Cry 4 I was left wondering when I'd see Dante again. In the upcoming DmC: Devil May Cry developed by Ninja Theory the studio decided to create a different origin story for Dante, making him younger and changing his look--to the dismay of many fans who have come to see Dante with his iconic white hair--now black.  I'll make this short. I'm fully behind Ninja Theory with this reboot. Dante may not look the same (not that it ever bothered me) but it feels like a Devil May Cry game. After playing the recently released demo a few dozen times I've come away with a few things. The first, the game looks beautiful. Being pulled from a drab, lifeless real world to the world of Limbo is where the game really pops. Limbo feels like it has a life of it's own and really adds to the over-the-top flare that we've all come to love about Devil May...

The loot chest has been opened and Gearbox has announced the release date for the next piece of Borderlands 2 DLC. The Mr. Torgue Campaign of Carnage will be released next Tuesday November 20th and will cost 800MSP/$9.99. More Borderlands is always a good thing especially when it involves EXPLOSIONS.
