Gaming Woes

It's been some time since I've done a post to Games News Network. Not just that, it's also been awhile since I've played a game to completion. Forget that my backlog is ever growing. I just can't seem to find the time to sit and play for extended hours. The last game I dropped into my Xbox 360 was Castlevania: LoS 2. Which is a great game, loved the first one. Even though I haven't been doing regular updates, the gaming industry still continues to thrive. Each and every day there's something new. 


This stint of non-gaming and a lack of updates cannot stand any longer. As such, I will try my best return to form with regular updates and articles. So until then, keep on gaming.

As a consumer society we like, need and want different things and with a variety of options getting them can easily be achieved. When you apply this to the video game industry you get games in the various versions, from Regular to Limited Editions, to Collector’s and Deluxe Editions. In addition to these editions, retailers often take it upon themselves to offer pre-order incentives. Pre-Ordering will give you access to a specific item, weapon or accessory, a discount or some other incentive that is unique to the store to get customer to buy from that retailer. In 2011 we saw several games receive the incentives treatment and a few that received retailer specific incentives. Its now 2012 and retailers are back at it again. Mass Effect 3 and Prototype 2 have both been given retailer specific incentive months before their launch and you can guarantee a lot more will follow. Mass Effect 3: Operation RESURGENCE

The next operation for Mass Effect 3 is about to begin. BioWare recently released the Resurgence Multiplayer which includes several new classes, weapons and maps. To go with this release this weekend's event will be codename RESURGENCE. All participating squads in this event will earn +10% experience when playing on the new Firebase maps: Hydra and Condor. In addition if you play this weekend you'll be rewarded with a Reserves Pack which contains one of the new class characters. This operation is only for XBOX360 and PC user and will run from Friday, April 13th at 5PM PST and ends Monday, April 16th at 5AM PST.
